House of Nande

About

A small house,
on purpose

House of Nande sources designer handbags to order — chosen by you, brought in through channels we can vouch for, and checked by hand before they are sent.

Why we work this way

Access is the product

Plenty of what these houses make never reaches a South African counter. The print that ran for one season, the colourway held for European stores, the mini that sold out before it was announced here — those are the pieces worth going after.

So we hold almost nothing and source almost everything. You tell us what you want, we find it, and it comes to you new, boxed and checked. The catalogue stays deliberately short because every piece on it is handled personally rather than processed.

The taste

Heritage, worn loudly.
Print, gold and pattern over quiet good behaviour

On arrival

What gets checked

Buying through a supplier is not the end of it. Every bag is examined against known references for that model before it is packed for you.

Hardware
Weight, finish, engraving depth and the feel of the closure. Hardware is usually where a copy gives itself away first.
Leather
Grain, smell, edge painting and how the material sits under its own weight.
Stitching
Stitch count, angle and consistency along the seams and under the flap.
Stamps & codes
Placement, font and spacing of the house stamp, plus any interior serial or date code.
Lining
Fabric, pocket construction and the finishing inside the corners.
Paperwork
Box, dust bag, card and receipts are passed on with the bag. If any of it is missing, that is stated before you pay, not after.
Suppliers
We buy from a short list of suppliers we have used repeatedly. New channels are tested with our own money before a client's order ever goes through them.

The bag reaches us, is checked against the house's references, and is photographed for your records.
